Disabled Person’s Travel Passes

On Tuesday 24th May 2022, on the day of the opening of the Elizabeth Line, The Disability Policy Centre sent a letter to The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan calling for the expansion of The Disabled Persons Freedom Pass to be available to be used at all times, across London, including on National Rail where it currently can only be used after 9.30am and before 4.30am.

Following on from this, we wrote to both Mayor Andy Burnham in Greater Manchester, as well as Mayor Andy Street in the West Midlands.

We now have an open letter to the Transport Secretary, the Rt Hon Grant Shapps, calling on him to work with National Rail to review the Disabled Person’s Travel Passes across the country. This can be viewed here, and the open letter can be signed below.
