Image reads The Disability Impact Pledge

What?

A commitment from Local Councils, Universities and organisations across the country to improve their services and accessibility for the 1 in 5 disabled people in each community.

Why?

The accessibility of Local Authority Buildings was shown in our ‘Breaking Down Barriers’ research as a major barrier to participation in local democracy. 2 in 5 council homepages fail the basic tests for accessibility. We believe that as a society, we cannot thrive until each and every one of our citizens fulfils their potential. We want to work in partnership with you to achieve this.

How?

By signing The Disability Impact Pledge, you are demonstrating your commitment to ensuring that disabled people across your community are empowered across all areas of society. By signing the pledge, we will work with you to ensure that you fulfil your commitment to accessibility across all of your services. Together we can change the lives of disabled people for good.
