THE POWER OF DIVERSITY

In collaboration with The Shaw Trust and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Disability, in celebration of The #DisabilityPower100, we held a roundtable in the Houses of Parliament to draw a spotlight on the importance of ‘The Power of Diversity’.

Collaborating to highlight the strengths of disabled people, and people with long term health conditions, breaking outdated stereotypes and celebrating the pioneers, change-makers, and influencers opening doors for future generations.

Our panelists were Dr Lisa Cameron MP, Shani Dhanda, John Horan, Marsha de Cordova MP, Sophie Morgan and Andrew Miller MBE, and chairs were Celia Hensman from The Disability Policy Centre and Clare Gray from Shaw Trust. We were grateful to the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Disability for hosting us. Our panellists provided a thought provoking insight into identity, diversity, power and influence.

The Power of Diversity report draws the key themes of the importance of identity, language, intersectionality, allyship, community and influence.
