Our Highlights from Naidex Festival 2025
We had an incredible time at Naidex Festival 2025, one of the UK’s leading events celebrating accessibility, innovation, and inclusion. This year’s festival felt particularly powerful, with a renewed sense of urgency around representation, politics, and the importance of lived experience in shaping our society.
Day One - Championing Local Leadership
Alongside the Local Government Association, we hosted a stand promoting the ‘Be a Councillor’ Campaign. We believe there’s never been a more important time to get involved in politics and ensure disabled voices are heard at every level of decision-making.
We were joined by Cllr Christine Thomas and Cllr Jonathan Andrews MUniv, who shared their personal journeys into local government. Their stories highlighted how valuable lived experience is when it comes to building inclusive communities and making meaningful policy change.
Day Two - The Power of Sport
On Day Two, we had the pleasure of teaming up with Isaac Harvey MBE and Charli Skinner from Soda for a Panel Discussion in the ‘Buisness with Barriers’ theatre, centred around our ‘Power of Sport’ report. This discussion explored how sport can be a catalyst for inclusion, wellbeing, and leadership and how policy can be translated into real-world impact through grassroots and national initiatives.
Reconnecting with the Sector
Naidex was also a brilliant opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet new partners, and have conversations that will continue to shape our work throughout the year. The energy, ideas, and passion from across the sector reminded us of the importance of collaboration in driving change.
We’re so grateful to everyone who stopped by our stand, joined our sessions, or simply said hello. Your enthusiasm and commitment continue to inspire us.
