Ensuring the West Midlands is an Exemplar Region for Disabled People

Together with the West Midlands Combined Authority, we were delighted to host a workshop on ‘How to Make the West Midlands an Exemplar Region for Disabled People’.

Hosted at the Sense Building in Birmingham Selly Oak, this event brought together both local and national disability charities, Local Government partners, and community activists and campaigners, to discuss how to make the West Midlands an exemplar region for disabled people, and people with long-term health conditions.

Our findings and recommendations will be drawn up into a report, to be released this Autumn.

Video from the day. The placeholder is of Shani Dhanda sitting at the table, in front of The Disability Policy Centre and WMCA banners. She is smiling at the person opposite her.

The first image is of the room, watching on as Shani and Mark speak, with their microphones in their hand. Mark is speaking and Shani is watching on. They are at the front of the room, with a white screen behind them. People are sat watching.
