We are proud to have published a new report, in collaboration with the Local Government Association, on how best local government can work with disabled people to improve outcomes, both in councils and across their communities.

The report, titled ‘Local Government Disability Champions Network: Good practice case studies’, captures nine examples of best practice in co-producing solutions to the problems local governments face, from planning to staff recruitment.

It was developed through the Local Government Disability Champions Network (LGDCN), consisting of people from councils across England and Wales, who aim to promote inclusivity in local government, amplifying the voice of disabled people.

In total, nine case studies were collated showing how co-production with disabled people and people with long-term health conditions has succeeded in improving day-to-day life for disabled people across the country.
