Intersectionality
Previous Event: Ableism and Racism - The VODG Call for Evidence
ONLINE, FRIDAY 4TH NOVEMBER AT 7PM
On Friday 4th November 2022, The Disability Policy Centre hosted an event with The Voluntary Organisations Disability Group, with Chair Rebecca Ogbonna and panellists Dr Amo Raju, Kush Kanodia and Julie-Jaye Charles.
In the run up to the publication of VODG’s report on Racial Disparities, our panellists discussed intersectionality and the disparities that can occur for disabled people, and people with long-term health conditions, particularly from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic groups. In relation to the panel’s research, we spoke in particular about the impact during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the long-standing inequalities that have been exposed.
