International Women's Day, Roundtable and Reception at Number 10

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2023, we were delighted to be invited to Number 10 Downing Street, not just once but twice throughout the day.

In the morning we were invited to attend a roundtable on how we break down barriers for women in public life. We were there representing disabled women, building on our experiences and our work with the d/Deaf and Disabled Women in Politics Network.

In the afternoon we were invited to a celebratory reception. It was wonderful to be thanked for our work.

A photo of five women around the table in Downing Street, having a roundtable discussion. Some women are writing in their books, some have cups of tea or coffee. Celia is speaking, with her hands up as she talks. Two women are looking on.
