The Disability Policy Centre calls on the Speaker of the House of Commons and the Speaker of the House of Lords to Improve the Accessibility of Parliament through the Restoration and Renewal Project
On Monday 13th June 2022, The Disability Policy Centre, on behalf of the cross-party coalition of Disability Labour, The Liberal Democrat Disability Association and The Conservative Disability Group, sent letters to The Speaker of The House of Commons and The Speaker of The House of Lords calling for improvements to made to the current inaccessibility of Parliament through the utilisation of the Restoration and Renewal Project.
We are calling for better consultation, better collaboration and increased focus on accessibility to ensure that disabled people, and people with long term health conditions have the same right of access, experience, and involvement in Westminster as those who do not.
